Frequently Asked Questions
What is a "square" of shingles?
One "square" = 100 sq ft of roof coverage. Most shingle bundles: 3 bundles per square.
Pitch multiplier
Actual roof area = footprint × pitch multiplier. 4/12 = 1.054, 6/12 = 1.118, 8/12 = 1.202, 12/12 = 1.414.
